Dot NET Domain Names

When the .NET universal top-level domain name extension was first established in 1985, together with the first domain extensions on the Internet, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Taking into account that there were no specific conditions about the usage of the TLD, though, dot NET domains were taken and used for various purposes and by many people. This extension is an ideal substitution for dot COM, notably if the wanted domain with the latter TLD is not free for registration.

Grabbing a .NET domain name with our firm is as easy as 1-2-3 and takes only a couple of minutes, as we partner with an ICANN-approved registrar company. You can order such a domain for an interval between one and ten years, or, if you already have a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it as soon as the transfer process is finished. Transfers are available for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have taken an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures introduced by the .NET Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily modify the WHOIS contacts of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you don’t want this information to be visible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to get your real contact info.

The dot NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can select if you want to focus on a particular country or territory using a domain name in the local language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
